The Mumbles

I based my visit to The Mumbles in Wales pretty much solely on the fact that it has an unusual place name. I needed somewhere within easy striking distance of Bristol, yet which also allowed an easy return to London. It was just a matter of opening a map, taking a look at what was around, and soliciting basic confirmation that it was at least a little bit interesting. Turns out that it is a rather enjoyable place to spend a few days looking at the sea, even in stormy weather.

This trip is almost over. By the time I get home in a couple of days, I’ll have gone around the world. I didn’t mean to when I started, it just worked out that way. It’s one of those accomplishments that doesn’t really mean anything, but has a minor neat-o factor.
